Professor Sir Charles Godfray is a biologist by background and is currently Director of the interdisciplinary Oxford Martin School at Oxford University. He has a long-standing interest in food systems and chaired the Lead Expert Group of the Government Office of Science’s Foresight Future of Food & Farming Project and recently stepped down as chair of DEFRA’s Science Advisory Council.
